Indoor tracks are constructed as a combination of fixed and movable portions. A permanent track has the advantage of a solid base which provides uniform resilience but it is lack of flexibility in using the facility. An indoor track commonly includes a 200m oval track, a straight track, runways and landing areas for the high jump, long jump, triple jump and pole vault.
